It’s recommended to have a professional gunsmith do this, as improper installation can lead to issues like screws coming loose, not holding zero, damage to your firearm or optic, and even personal injury. Make sure to follow the proper torque specifications (12in/lb) if you proceed with installation.

Q: Will this fit my 1911 pistol? 🤔

This optic plate is made for 1911 pistols that have a traditional Novak rear sight cut ONLY. There are many different rear sight cuts on 1911s (like Colt G.I., LPA, Novak standard/traditional, and Novak Oversize). This plate does NOT fit any 1911 that doesn’t have a traditional Novak rear sight. Please check with your pistol manufacturer to confirm what kind of rear sight you have before buying. It also won’t fit Novak cuts that aren’t genuine/traditional/true Novak, like those on some Taurus 1911s and Ruger 1911s that use licensed Novak sights but have their own sizes.
