- Essie Gel Couture goes on cleanly and stays on for up two weeks.
- It is thin, so you will need two coats, but its texture makes it very forgiving.
- I find it never streaks, and the finish is very smooth.
- Apply too much and touch your cuticles, and the top coat will collect under your cuticles and won’t look too pretty as the nail is growing out.
- Gel Couture is a two-step polish system consisting of Essie Gel Couture Polish (featuring a built-in basecoat) and Essie Gel Couture Top Coat that offers durable, high-shine and up to two weeks.
- It features a new twirly bottle, a new twirly-stemmed paddle brush, and a two-step formula that encompasses base+colour and a crazy-shiny top coat.
- Essie says you can get up to 14 days of wear, but as always, that depends on your nails and how much/how hard you use.

Pictured is 2 coats of Beauty Nap & Essie Gel Couture top coat (one coat) on natural nails. On other nails-darker green is another Essie Gel Couture color called Mode du Jour. I’m very happy with this line of polish so far! The color variety & lasting power is amazing!
